ARCHITECTURE
The Greek's had many structures included in their architecture. Some examples would be temples, theaters, stadiums, and palaces. Since a great part of Greece was religion, many people were surprised by how great Greece's architecture was. The Greek's had three architectural systems which were ionic, doric , and cornithian. The Greek's built these great structures for reasons such as to celebrate power, for pride in themselves, or to offer thanks.(Sakoulas, Thomas)

SPORTS
The Greek's thought that physical training was very important. Men were expected to always stay in great physical shape. Some sports that were often played were running, jumping, and wrestling. Also an athlete could participate in a pentathlon, which consisted of running, leaping, wrestling, discus, and javelin throwing. The athletes were very serious about every individual sport that they participated in. A very important event in sports was the Greek Olympic, the first Olympic games was in 776 B.C.(Hamby, Zachary)

ART
Art was another very important characteristic in Greek culture and was very effective through the years. Much of modern art has been copied from ancient art. Art is now a very important part of research because it tells us about myths and stories of gods, heros, and events. Some materials that were used are stone, marble, limestone, and clay. Greek sculptures are in seven periods which were Mycenaean art, Sub-Mycenaean, Proto-geometric, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic.(Sakoulas, Thomas)
